Copperhead

What it does

A subtractive synth with two oscillators, each picking from sine, saw, square, triangle, trapezium, super saw and a user waveform, blended with one mix knob. A multi-mode filter covers low pass, high pass, band pass, notch, shelf and formant, with its own envelope, while the mixer adds a sub oscillator and noise. Cross modulation runs as FM or ring modulation, two LFOs route to either oscillator or both, and the output page holds a limiter, pan and polyphony. Chorus, overdrive, reverb, delay and tremolo are built in, alongside a step sequencer whose steps can target cutoff or cross modulation instead of pitch, and a gate that chops the output left to right.

In the demo

Jade saves her own initial patch and builds from a bare oscillator so each stage is audible alone. She draws a sequence, runs the gate against it, assigns cutoff and reverb size to the mod wheel, then plays the factory banks of basses, keys, pads and arps.

Worth knowing

Banks and groups of presets export whole rather than one patch at a time. Jade expects the feature set to keep growing, since this is a first release.
