ChaosArp 2

What it does

A MIDI arpeggiator with a step sequencer alongside it, both fed through chaos algorithms. Pitch chaos shifts notes so a held chord keeps evolving, while beat chaos assigns each of six slots a rest, a stretch or a note repeat and moves between them, with a dial setting how much of that is applied. Velocity and duration each have their own randomizer and range. The sequencer runs from a single held note, with per-step octave, direction, step count and a scale filter.

In the demo

Jade drives a felt piano in AUM, building from a plain arpeggio up to full chaos, then slows everything down for drifting textures. She feeds chords in from ChordBud, tries the sequencer on drums, and loads it as a MIDI effect in Logic.

Worth knowing

It makes no sound and only loads in a MIDI processor slot. There is no manual, so a couple of controls go unexplained in the demo.
