What it does

An arpeggiator that turns held notes into patterns that keep moving. The pitch section covers familiar ground, up, down and up-down, an octave range and random octaves, while two rhythm rows convert each pulse into repeats, stretches or rests. Every stage carries a probability dial for the chance of an event and a variance dial that sets how unpredictable the choice becomes. Velocity and duration each get a fixed value, a random range and their own probability.

In the demo

Jade starts from a plain arpeggio on a piano in AUM and adds probability and variance until the pattern stops repeating. She feeds chords in from ChordBud across three instances, uses the performance panel for live multi-tap, and loads it as a MIDI plugin in Logic before running the presets.

Worth knowing

It makes no sound and has to sit in a MIDI slot ahead of an instrument. A desktop version is sold separately from the developer’s site with a trial.
