What it does
A Baroque-style pipe organ with a single manual, nine stops, three couplers and a tremulant. The sound is generated rather than played back, using additive synthesis and physical modelling together, so no samples are involved and the download stays small. The octave and sub octave couplers add registers above and below the note played while cancel unison removes the played note itself, and an expression pedal varies the air passing through the pipes. A picture of a church cycles through four reverbs with a wet and dry mix.
In the demo
Jade switches the stops off and brings them back one at a time, then holds a single note to show what each coupler adds. She connects a foot pedal to the swell, reads the built-in manual on screen, runs the presets and builds a piece with two instances under Scaler.
Worth knowing
This is one modest instrument rather than a large cathedral organ, and Jade finds the stereo image sits left with no panning control. A Windows version is on the developer’s site.
