BLEASS Omega

What it does

An FM synth with four operators, each carrying its own filter, envelope and velocity setting, routed through eleven colour coded algorithms that decide which operator modulates which. After the FM stage the signal runs through a wave shaper, a filter with its own envelope, two LFOs with two destinations each, a motion sequencer you draw by hand, and chorus, tremolo, delay and reverb. Extra preset banks are sold as in-app purchases, one of them free once the app is bought.

In the demo

Jade builds from the default sine tone in AUM, muting operators one at a time so each is heard alone, then works the coarse, fine tune and fixed frequency controls to show how small moves change everything. She scrolls the algorithms while holding notes, sends an LFO to the wave shaper offset and to the algorithm itself, sets a different velocity per operator, then plays the factory banks.

Worth knowing

It rewards small adjustments rather than wide sweeps, and Jade starts from presets for that reason. Two of its preset packs, Torley and Sounds of the 80’s, have their own entries here.
