What it does
Two generator sections side by side. The left one puts out sine, triangle and square waves, the right one white and pink noise. Each carries its own LFO drawn as a curve that can be reshaped by dragging, with levers for level and shape, a speed control, left and right panning, a volume slider and a play button. Output either loops or fires as a one hit. Banks of presets run from flat test tones through drones to oddities with names like obnoxious motorcycle.
In the demo
Jade runs it in AUM, walks the two sections knob by knob, then opens three instances with Shimmer, ToneBoosters reverb and a long Hell’s Gate behind them and lets the drones pile up. She later feeds the result through BeatCutter and randomises all four into a noise piece.
Worth knowing
Jade points at the DSP meter reading 14 with three instances going, so plenty can be stacked. Nothing here is played: the material comes from the oscillators, the LFOs and the presets, which is the point of calling it test equipment.
