Agonizer

What it does

A monophonic synthesizer focused on bass. Two oscillators each run a long waveform list, with a blend that crossfades into the waveforms either side, plus octave, fine tune, a sub oscillator and detune. The signal then runs left to right through mix level, a mangle section for drive and crush, a filter with resonance, chorus and output. Below that sit four panes of cracked glass, the wobbulator: a four step modulation sequencer with its own waveform, rate and repeat per step, triggered from BPM or key, with adjustable active steps and directions from forward to randomised. Holding any knob opens modulation sources, so a control can be driven from single wobbulator steps.

In the demo

Jade lingers on the dirt and cracked glass of the interface, walks the wobbulator controls one at a time, then blends oscillators into gritty sub heavy noise for a horror soundscape record.

Worth knowing

It is monophonic on purpose, so it holds one note at a time. The description counts 140 plus factory presets by Haq, and settings carry MPE and standard MIDI modes.
